Cimex Lectularius is a short movie directed by Clémentine Decremps and Rémi Giordano. A story about obsession and... bedbugs! I was asked to design the movie poster and created two versions featuring selected stills from the film.
The initial version conveys the main character's obsession with the body of his unhealthy crush, main focus of the story.
For the second and approved version, I wanted to refer to the more horrific side of the story, with a dash of 70s/80s horror feel.
I selected the most captivating image from the provided ones, fine-tuned contrast and saturation, and incorporated a bold serif font for the title and credits. This design was influenced by the artwork seen on horror novels from the 80s.
